NATRUE celebrates No.5 in UK Natural Beauty Industry Who’s Who

It was announced yesterday at a presentation at special events venue Carousel in London’s West End – at the launch of the Natural Beauty Yearbook 2016 – that NATRUE’s Francesca Morgante had been voted No.5 in the industry’s ‘Who’s Who In Natural Beauty’.

The hotlist, published each year in the Yearbook, provides an essential snapshot of the leading ‘movers and shakers’ driving the newest trends and products on the market, and the personalities shaping and influencing the natural beauty industry. The Yearbook noted:

Francesca-Morgante

“The NATRUE standard is a beacon to help consumers navigate through the sea of green-washing and has been chosen by hundreds of companies as a way of identifying authentically natural and organic cosmetics. Francesca, who has worked with and promoted NATRUE for five years, coordinates its communications, speaking on behalf of the association at many events around Europe.”

This year’s number one, Sonia White, was managing director of online retailer LoveLula. Her mission has been to unite natural and organic brands from around the globe, making them accessible to all. She commented:

“The natural beauty industry is a growing market and it’s very positive to see everyone here involved in helping to develop it forward. Natural beauty isn’t yet mainstream, and there’s still a way to go, but awards like this help to promote and reward these great retailers and brands who are doing great work for the industry.”

Francesca was delighted to attend the presentation and definitely came away with a rosy glow, commenting:

“I was thrilled to be included in the Top 25 Personalities on behalf of NATRUE. Hopefully this shows the increasing recognition for the NATRUE standard in the UK and the part we are playing in safeguarding truly natural and organic cosmetics for British consumers. It’s a great springboard for us for 2016.”

It was also encouraging to see two other organisations in the Top 25 closely associated with NATRUE. Weleda’s Jayn Sterland climbed to No.6 this time (up from No.11 last year), and Graeme Hume from Pravera (the distributor for Lavera) moved to the No.7 position (up from No.12).

The latest Natural Beauty Retailer Awards were also presented at the event. Francesca was flattered to have been asked to be on the judging panel for these awards some months ago, and was pleased to see key independent and online retailers, plus department stores and multiples, all recognised for their contribution, commitment and effort in the NOC sector.
