Get a Lava Shell massage & support Philipines disaster

Shared Beauty Secrets (SBS) the UK distributors of Lava Shells, uses real recycled Tiger Clam shells from the Philippines. For hundreds of years, South Pacific Islanders have harvested these beautiful shells for food, and then thrown the shells away.  Lava Shells have been made from these discarded shells, creating a unique and innovative implement for massage therapy.

The Lava Shell Massage is a favourite among leading spas, salons, beauty editors and celebrities. SBS have sent out a plea to their 1500 clients to support them in raising funds for the people affected by the recent Typhoon Haiyan.

Shared Beauty Secrets contribute monthly to the SOS Children’s Villages charity. The company is donating additional funds to the Disaster Emergency Committee to help those in their time of need. SBS is encouraging its spas and salons to run special fundraising promotions, donating the proceeds to a charity of their choice for the Philippines.

Clare Anderson, Director of Shared Beauty Secrets says: “We have over 1500 trained Lava Shell Spas, salons and mobile therapists across the UK  so I decided to reach out to them with a few simple suggestions to help raise money for those in need. The response and support has been outstanding and I have been really touched by the support our accounts have shown.  I feel between us, we will be able to help make a real difference to the families in the Philippines.”

At this time, existing accounts will be using their natural shells within treatments, and new accounts will use the porcelain replica, offering the same seamless massage of heat and touch.
