Dance To David Livingstone’s Beat At Zambia’s First International Cultural Arts Festival

A first for the country’s adrenaline fueled adventure capital, Livingstone town’s two-day jamboree will feature performances from neighbouring countries where the Scottish missionary lived, worked and explored – artists from Zimbabwe and Kenya already confirming their attendance.

Leanne Haigh, Sales and Marketing Manager at Acacia Africa comments, “When David Livingstone uttered those immortal words, “gazed upon by angels in their flight,” he really captured the magnificence of the world’s largest curtain of falling water.  Book your trip to coincide with the festival and this famous Zambian vista will be even more spectacular, the event kicking off with a colourful Masai dancing and drumming session at the falls bridge. With Livingstone lying on the border with Zimbabwe we also have tour options where you can see both sides of Africa.”

A lively street carnival is set to wind its way through the centre of the town on 21 June, live bands performing at the Livingstone Royal Golf & Country Club during the evening.  A community-focused event, the following day will feature African music, cultural dancing, arts, crafts and food – masked Zamibian dancers roaming through the crowds.
