42 Raw – Copenhagen Restaurant
Their untraditional interior decoration with wooden benches and the atmosphere reflects the essence of city life. I get the impression of clientele range from businessman to raw food enthusiast and that their main vision is to create a healthy choice for people working and living in the city, offering living food that nourishes the body instead of depleting it, in a city that already has a great deal of toxin from the environment, processed foods and living a stressful life.
The selection of the menu ranges from salads, lasagna, tapas dishes and they offer many different fresh juices, smoothies and raw cakes and have a selection of their own superfood products.
I needed a vitamin boost of a drink when I entered the cafe from the winter cold outside, so my choice was a carrot, apple & ginger juice which turned out to be a refreshing choice. I had an apricot & almond salad for lunch which was good choice and nicely presented. They don’t use organic produce for their main dishes, but all their desserts are made of 100% organic ingredients.
The service is friendly and the relaxed interior style makes it the perfect place to take a break from shopping, while enjoying some of their delicious raw cakes.
Raw food has become more and more an integral part of people’s awareness of healthy lifestyle today and 42 Raw’s vision was to combine healthy food that was convenient and affordable, and presented in a visually attractive package, with a good eye for aesthetics.
The Copenhagen raw food café has recently opened their London Branch, located at Royal academy or Arts. The concept is the same as the café in Copenhagen and also the selections from the menu. (42raw.co.uk)
