This May 2012, Kate is offering the Raw Magic Accreditation Course in Turkey for the first time. The course is an in-depth guide to raw foods, how they work in the body and how they affect our consciousness. You will finish the course armed with a practical knowledge of how to make magic in the kitchen, along with a transformed awareness of how to empower yourself and implement the magic in your world.
Everyone who completes the course satisfactorily will receive a certificate, an endorsement from Kate and Raw Living, which you may use as a credential should you wish to start teaching classes or catering yourself.
The price you pay on booking is for the course only. It does not include meals (although you will eat a lot during the classes, so you probably won’t need lunch beforehand), accommodation or travel. We have kept it simple, so you can tailor the trip to your needs. We would love to help you with your arrangements. We have accommodation for everyone on site, if you would like to stay with the group. When you book, we will be in touch to find out how we can help you with flights and airport transfers. We can also organise day trips, therapies, yoga classes and raw vegan meals on request.
The course will run for five hours a day, over five afternoons, Monday to Friday.
The first day of the course will not involve any food prep. We will talk about your goals and intentions and discuss some of the foundational philosophy of Raw Magic. Over the next four days, we will cover all the basics of raw cuisine. As much as time allows we will go into detail on supporting detoxification techniques, and superfoods and how to incorporate them into your daily diet. Recipes include Green Juice, Magic Milk, Sublime Sushi, Yellow Curry with Noodles, Broccoli Burgers, Golden Ginger Relish, Renegade Chia, Chris’s Muddy Crackers, Onion Bread, Rum n Raisin Fudge, Deviation Chocolate, Gorgeous Goji Pudding, Magic Cupcakes, Quantum Cake (yes, the famous Quantum Cake!), and Lemon Pie.
All course attendees get 10% off their Raw Living shopping from the time they book the course until 4 wks after the course, ie the end of June.
All attendees receive support after the course in the form of a month’s free membership to Kate’s Magic Bubble.
Usually, Raw Living does not offer discounts on equipment. But course attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a Vitamix blender at 10% discount and an Excalibur dehydrator at 20% discount.
And of course everyone who completes the course satisfactorily receives a Raw Magic Certificate of Accreditation!
Kate will give you a personal endorsement which you can then use, along with the knowledge you have gained from the course, to kickstart your own career in raw foods. Whether you are looking to become a coach or a chef, or a combination of the two, this course is a fun and exciting way to propel you into your dream career.
Bodrum is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The course will be held outside of the city, on the peninsula, up in the hills, overlooking the Aegean sea. The area is called Gumusluk. The average temperature at that time of year is around 26 deg C (79 deg F). It is a pleasant heat, not too humid, it rarely rains, and the days are long.
We have enough accommodation for everyone on site, although of course you are welcome to make alternative arrangements and travel into the course every day if you prefer. The accommodation is studio apartments, some singles and some doubles. All apartments have showers and toilets en suite, and a small kitchen area with a refrigerator. The cost is £19 (55 TL) per night for a single apartment, and £28 (80 TL) for a double. That includes a raw breakfast! Raw vegan lunches and dinners (with a menu devised by Kate) will be available every day for a small extra charge.
Flights to Bodrum from London at that time of year are about £100-£150 each way. We recommend looking at Easyjet, Thomas Cook or Turkish Airlines for best prices. A good option is to fly into Istanbul, and then take an internal flight from Istanbul to Bodrum, although EasyJet & Thomas Cook do fly direct. We can arrange transfers from the airport, the cost will be around £20 (60 TL).
We reserve the right to amend the course if necessary.
There is no food prep on this day. We will have snacks available to purchase. We will discuss the philosophy and foundation of Raw Magic, and give everyone a chance to talk about your own personal goals and intentions. We will also cover holistic detox techniques.
Kate will teach you how to make green juice, sushi, raw breads, raw chocolate, and Irish moss desserts. Sample recipes: Green Juice, Sublime Sushi, Onion Bread, Deviation Chocolate, Strawberry Deelite.
Kate will explain hemp milks, raw mayonnaises, kale chips, curry sauces, and candies. Sample recipes: Hemp Milk, Mystic Mayo, Kale Chips, Crazy Curry, Rum n Raisin Fudge.
We will cover smoothies, burgers, salads, crackers, puddings, and pies. Sample recipes: SuperSmoothie, Broccoli Burgers, Hardcore Salad, Chris’s Muddy Crackers, Gorgeous Goji Pudding, They Call Me Mellow Yellow.
Kate will teach you how to make chia dishes, soups, relish, and last but not least, the legendary Quantum Cake. Sample recipes: Renegade Chia, Siouxsie Soup (with Kelp noodles), Mayan Relish, Quantum Cake.
If you cancel before May 1st, we will retain £100 non-refundable deposit and refund you the remainer. If you cancel after May 1st, we regret that we are unable to offer you any refund. You could of course find someone else to take your place, and transfer your booking into their name.
