First established in 2007 as a founding member of the Featherdown Farm franchise, Mill Farm and neighbouring Belle Vue Farm are surrounded by acres of green pastures near Poulshot village in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside

For over 100 years three generations of the Dyke family have been farming here and the present owners,  Joe and Issy - pioneers of glamping - know what it takes, to make a stay under canvas exceptional.

Farm owner Joe comments:

"Mill Farm has a fascinating local history that we enjoy sharing with the guests who come to stay. It's great to see visitors' curiosity and interest in the day to day workings of the farm - from our lovely baby calves to feeding the chickens or just enjoying the opportunity to take a walk along the stream. We are passionate about organic farming and there is something here to keep everyone entertained."

The canvas lodges are situated in Top and Bottom Water Meadow, within the grounds of Mill farm. This haven of peace and tranquility is also home to the farm's chickens, from whom guests may collect their own eggs for breakfast.

Spectacular views take in the nearby river and woods where, according to local history highwaymen plied their trade. Today it is an opportunity for fishing, paddling or a picturesque walk to a local pub.

Guest facilities include an honesty shop for essential camping needs and daily necessities so guests can keep fridges full. The farm tours are a real hit with families where all can learn what makes an organic farm tick and a chance of hands on fun.

Younger guests can take a donkey ride, while older ones can have a go at Laser Clay pigeon shooting. Other local pursuits are walking and horse riding.

Local attractions include; Bowood House, Longleat Safari Park, The Wadworth Brewery, Caen Hill Locks and Rowdy Cow Ice Cream factory.

The Canvas Lodges are available from £600 per week, from £380 for a mid-week break or £450 for a weekend stay, subject to availability.
