Jayn brought years of expertise in women’s fashion to Weleda, and over the past four years has developed Weleda’s brand profile, making it more visible, more accessible and more profitable, with sales in the beauty sector doubling during this time. Jayn re-energised the brand, with creative projects such as a new catalogue, new point of sale designs, advertising campaigns, website and social media all making the brand more current. Independent retailers are now supported through the Weleda partnership programme - an exclusive scheme for top Weleda retailers to become ‘brand’ stores through fixturing and training programmes. Jayn was appointed Managing Director for Weleda Beauty in the UK and Ireland in 2012.
Working alongside respected practitioners, therapists and beauty professionals appointed as brand ambassadors, Weleda’s profile evolved further. Jayn led the Weleda marketing team through the company’s 90 year anniversary in 2011, culminating in a prestigious CEW Eco Beauty Award for sustainability. Appointed Commercial Director of Weleda UK earlier this year, Jayn is a firm believer that the brand “can speak for itself” and doesn’t need superfluous gimmicks or add-ons to tell its story: “When you truly understand the ethos of Weleda, you wouldn’t use anything else.”
