Its hard to find a natural mascara that actually works! I have searched high and low for something that is as effective as the big brands.  Yep sometimes those chemicals and horrible formulations do a great job at making something work – at our health’s expense though!

I used to use Maybelline’s Great lash (this is going back about 10 years !) as it was a great price and worked really well at making your eyelashes look almost fake.

I am ecstatic to discover that Lavera is JUST as good as Maybelline’s but formulated so gently that there is no need to worry about this causing us harm. Did you know that about 95% of mascaras out there contain many harsh ingredients such as formaldehyde?  If you do not know what formaldehyde is, it is a preservative that is used for things such as embalming fluid! It is HIGHLY toxic…….

I applied the mascara to my eyes (without the professional tip written below with the powder which I will try today!) and did one  eye at a time. I applied three coats and was amazed at the difference.  The mascara smells lovely with a hint of rose from the organic Rosa Damascena Flower Water, is gentle to the lashes from the natural plant oils/waxes and the effect lasts all day yet is easy to remove. There is nothing worse than waking up with panda eyes!

I love the slim line case and the brush/wand is really good for pushing the eyelashes up high.

I am not really blessed with natural long eyelashes so always need to wear mascara.  Its one of my favorite products but I have been hunting around for years really to find something that was a) not too expensive b) actually worked c) organic/naturally formulated d) was easy to remove.

I am so happy with this product I have given it my award for ‘Best Mascara’  and I can see I am not the first to do this, with Lifescape mag and Natural Health Magazine all recognising its fab quality.

If you see this in any beauty/health food shops give it a go!

I am dying to try some more other cosmetics from the range.

You know, you really can’t go wrong with Lavera, a massive range, such beautiful products with natural and safe formulations and not over priced!

Directions; Apply the mascara to the upper and lower eyelashes using the volumising brush. Always stroke from root to tip, holding the wand diagonal to the eye. Allow to dry briefly, then apply a second coat.

Professional make-up tip; Powder the eyelashes before applying the mascara, in order to create a grease free base. The mascara will hold for longer and the eyelashes will appear to have even more volume.
