Mineral Pressed powder – £19.99
When I first heard that Green People were making a range of makeup, I pretty much jumped for joy! I have always loved their ethics and every single product I had tried previously was always fantastic. I have been a fan of their shampoo’s and conditioners for ages and also their skin care such as their Fruit exfoliating scrub and Vitamin Mask. They have loads of other things that it was only a matter of time before they branched out into makeup also!
I thought that they would do a loose mineral powder as most brands are doing, but Green People have made me one happy girl because they have made theirs into a pressed compact!
It means that through this way, you can literally apply your foundation in seconds flat, saving time for when you just want to be out that door quick sticks! I literally now take 3-4 minutes to do my makeup which is great.
I still use my kabuki brush with this product as those kind of brushes really make the powder go on to the skin flawlessly. The pressed powder comes in 3 shades – I have tried the Honey colour and it is a pretty good match for my pale skin. I am sure they will bring out more colours as time goes by but its definitely worth testing out to see if your skin will match to one of them.
It goes on as light as a feather but covers up well. The texture is so fine that you dont really feel like you are wearing anything at all. Ever since I have been using this product, one of my friends always comments on how great my skin looks. This was nice to hear as I have felt like I looked like I was wearing heaps of makeup rather than having nice skin. Combined with some new supplements I am taking and healthier diet after the Christmas period, its definitely showing in the skin. And now that I am using this powder I feel that I am starting to look healthier on the outside too.
If you want to have a dewy look to your skin I would suggest putting on quite a bit of moisturiser, then apply foundation with a brush or a sponge (this does not come with the powder). I have noticed with this product that your skin stays looking fab for AGES, I do not need to blot it.
This compact is also available for teenage skin, its the same ingredients just in different packaging to appeal to the younger girls. I would thoroughly recommend that teenagers wear this rather than the cheap junk they can get at the chemist of supermarket.
If you start teenagers young with knowing about chemical free products and makeup, they are bound to continue this throughout their lives.

Volumising Mascara £13.99
I had just run out of my Lavera Mascara, so this came at the perfect time!
Green People’s new Black Mascara is going to be a really good seller for them I think. Firstly the price is great for something this quality. It is a very rich black and has a good wand, nothing fancy just the typical shape that I think is still really the best way to apply. I apply three coats and if you wanted to try and make lashes really stand out what you can do is put some powder (mineral of course) on the tips of your lashes (use a dry clean mascara applicator for this) so that they get coated with the mascara and become really thick. There are other mascaras that do this – the double ended ones but you dont want to use them as the chemicals on that are terrible!
I had NO idea that some mascaras have mercury in them!!! this is one of the worst toxins known to man – its every where these days, in our vaccines, in fish and seafood (because of car pollution and general environmental pollution)and I do not want to use any products with this in! Thankfully Green People know about this dreadful chemical and have made sure they do not include it in their formulas!
I find this mascara quite easy to remove as well at night. I tend to use a muslin cloth to remove my makeup and its very easy to use for eye makeup as well so that you don’t have dark panda eyes.
I would definitely use this mascara again.
