positive thinking and why it really works

Positive thinking ! One of my personal favourites  Some people will tell you yes it’s worked for me and some people will tell you no I just don’t get it. How is it that for some people it is effective and for others they can be literally left wanting? So why does it work for some and not for others…..well the answer is simple. But first let me just share something that surprised me until I actually thought about it… “Too much routine actually numbs your brain”

 

Try this – what did you have for dinner 18 nights ago or even 2 nights ago…..when you are too routined it is actually a real challenge to recall information. Now lets try something else – if I said to you where were you when 9/11 happened? I bet you can remember the place, the people, your thoughts and what you did that day? Am I right….why is that? Check out the video below for the science….

At this point I would like you to note there is a difference between routine and some helpful nurturing structures, I will be looking more into this over the next few weeks…however back to positive thinking…

When a you are able to personalise, demonstrate and practice taking a different approach then you normally would, applying positive thought to a situation you would normally be cursing in or maybe you are already annoyed at. A chemical reactions starts to happen in your brain and it literally changes everything….that change begins to create a new way for you to approach the same old SillyHabitsIThink
. How cool is that ! Your brain will literally help you form new and positive habits (Watch out for some brain health tips that will help you keep twinkling* coming your way over the next few weeks).

Meaning the new approach you have just taken can be applied in similar situations in the future…and as you practice this each time it becomes stronger and stronger until you will find you no longer have to encourage a positive thought, the positive thought simply is your natural response.

I’ve found this fab video for you below….it is an extremely well explained science lesson on why the answer is YES positive does really work….I urge you to take a look….you will be so glad you did…..this could change your mind about everything in your life……
