It can be quite hard and frustrating feeding babies at first as they sure do make a mess, and they also find it hard to hold onto forks and spoons. When feeding them yourself, its easy to accidentally push the spoon in the mouth a bit far at times as you are trying so hard to get the food in the mouth, rather than over the face!
MAM have made some very innovative spoons and forks that have protective safety shields on them so you can't push back too far in your tiny babies mouth. They are so tiny and have non slip grip handles so babies love to hold them.
When we use them, I give one to Lola (the fork) too play with and to try and put it in her mouth, whilst I use the spoon to help her eat - she is still a bit young to put the food in her mouth all on her own.
These little dippers are just fantastic and I recommend buying a few sets so you always have some on hand. They are of course BPA free too!
They come in three different colours which suit boys and girls. Each pack contains a set of two, a fork and a spoon.
They are priced at £5.25 and you can purchase from here: http://mamonlineshop.com/acatalog/Cutlery2.html
