The free packs contained samples of things like nappies, wipes, skincare, body wash, teas, drinks and other personal care items. But guess what? NONE of it was non toxic or safe to use on yourself, let alone a new baby. It actually disgusted me because I realised this is how the mainstream companies got into the psyches of mums. They tried the samples, then continued to buy them because they had 'tested' them and had them recommended by the health system. And they were of course easy to find in the shops and cheap to buy. But what horrified me was there was no education from day one about what was truly good for your baby.
This is why I am over the moon about Green People donating 20,000 skin care samples to premature babies and their families. This is really big and could influence a lot of future purchases and educate parents as to what is really safe for their precious babies!

Who are Bliss?
Green People is proud to be working with Bliss, a UK charity that works to provide the best possible care and support for all premature and sick babies and their families.
Babies born prematurely or unwell require especially gentle care to help them through their earliest days and on their way to a positive future. Their parents too need special assistance in learning how to look after their new baby and support in coping with the emotional challenges of having a premature or sick baby.
Bliss offers invaluable support to parents, they work directly with doctors and nurses and campaign to ensure the needs of babies and their families are always heard.
What are Green People doing to help?
Green People are delighted to be donating more than 20,000 samples of its Organic Babies Scent Free Baby Wash to Bliss, who will be including these in the free ‘support packs’which they distribute on the wards to new parents of premature and sick babies.
The Baby wash contains only safe, non-irritating ingredients and is free from parabens, phthalates, SLS/SLES, lanolin, synthetic fragrances, PEGs, petrochemicals, propylene glycol and colourants . So mild and gentle this wash is suitable for babies with sensitive skin and those who may be prone to skin conditions such as eczema.
