The Akoma Co-operative Multipurpose Society The Shea Butter used in 'Bumfluff Nappy Balm' is produced by a women's co-operative who process nuts gathered from the karite tree grown in Northern Ghana. The Fairtrade premium received is helping members of the village of Pisi-Namogo, particularly the more vulnerable women, children and elderly, to rise out of poverty. Up to 150 tonnes of Organic Shea Butter is produced each year.
