Are Flu Vaccines Responsible For Causing Sudden Adult Death Syndrome?

When we read about Sudden Death Syndrome it usually involves the death of an infant who dies suddenly in their sleep. Their death is usually referred to in medical literature as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). However, how many of us are aware that, over recent years, young healthy adults have been dying suddenly for no apparent reason?

The number of cases of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) being reported by newspapers has grown to epidemic proportions. Reports of young, perfectly healthy adults with their whole life in front of them, dying suddenly for no apparent reason, are reported on a regular basis.

Young Nurse Dies Suddenly After A Night Out With Friends

In February 2013, the Daily Mail reported that Sophie Ford, a young student nurse had died suddenly at a friend’s house after a night out.

The Mail reported that:

“One of her friends heard a thud at around 5:30 am and when they went to see what had happened they found her unresponsive on the floor.

They were unable to revive her and she was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, where she was pronounced dead.

Miss Ford, a student at Northumbria University and described as being ‘bubbly’, was found to be under the legal drink-driving limit and no drugs were found in her body.”

Despite the fact that Miss Ford had suffered an extremely high heart rate, palpitations and fainting fits for the last few years, doctors had stated that she was not at risk.

Daily Mail reporters wrote :

“After her death, her heart was sent to Royal Brompton Hospital, London, where specialist Dr. Mary Shepherd said her heart was ‘normal.’

Pathologist Dr. Nigel Kirkham ruled that she had died of SADS.

Coroner Karen Dilks said, ‘Sudden adult death syndrome is a recognised diagnosis of exclusion and I accept Dr. Kirkham and Dr. Shepherd’s evidence, and therefore find it appropriate to record that the cause of Miss Ford’s death was sudden cardiac death of a morphologically normal heart.’” [1]

Miss Ford’s case is not isolated, as young fit adults are dying suddenly all over the world.

Healthy Journalist Found Dead While Filming A Documentary

On December 12, 2013, the Daily Star reported that a young journalist had also died of SADS after living rough as part of a documentary researching the effects on homeless people due to government cuts.

According to the Star, 26 year-old Lee Haplin died suddenly of a heart attack on day two of a week-long project.

The Daily Star reported that:

“Lee had been prescribed drugs for depression after the breakdown of his relationship but the post-mortem showed a correct amount in his system.

Detective sergeant Nick Walker said: ‘There is no evidence that Lee’s death involved a third person.

Therefore the conclusion we have come to is that Lee Halpin placed himself in a unfamiliar, hard lifestyle.’

Coroner Karen Dilks told the court in Newcastle, “After hearing all of the evidence it seems clear to me that the cause of Lee’s death is sudden adult death syndrome and the cause is one of natural causes.

This could have happened at any time or place.’” [2]

So why did a perfectly fit and healthy young man die suddenly of a heart attack?

It is possible that Lee’s death was caused by extreme weather conditions, however, Lee had only experienced living rough for two days and was previously thought to be a perfectly fit young man.

It is also possible that Lee could have suffered an adverse reaction to the anti-depressants he was taking. There is no information given on the drugs that Lee was taking or the length of time that he had been taking them, however, if he had been taking either Zyprexa (Paxil) or Prozac, then there is documentation stating quite clearly that either of these drugs can lead to heart problems. [3] [4]

However, given the fact that Sophie was a nurse and Lee was embarking on a project where he would be sleeping rough in extreme weather conditions, it is extremely likely that they both received a flu vaccine in the days prior to their deaths.

Conspiracy theory? Possibly however, I urge you to read on and then decide.

Flu Vaccines Can And Do Lead To Heart Problems

There have been endless reports of young healthy adults suffering heart attacks being reported in the media. Is it possible that the latest flu vaccine, FluMist, has been responsible for a large number of these?

I say this because RxList The Internet Drug Index stated the following, under the title Post-marketing Experience:

“The following events have been spontaneously reported during post-approval use of FluMist. Because these events are reported voluntarily from a population of uncertain size, it is not always possible to reliably estimate their frequency or establish a causal relationship to vaccine exposure.

Cardiac disorders:Pericarditis

Congenital, familial, and genetic disorders:Exacerbation of symptoms of mitochondrial encephalomyopathy (Leigh syndrome)

Gastrointestinal disorders: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

Immune system disorders: Hypersensitivity reactions (including anaphylactic reaction, facial edema, and urticaria)

Nervous system disorders: Guillain-Barré syndrome, Bell’s Palsy, meningitis, eosinophilic meningitis, vaccine-associated encephalitis

Respiratory, thoracic, and mediastinal disorders:Epistaxis

Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: Rash

Read the entire FDA prescribing information for FluMist (Influenza Virus Vaccine)” [5]

Number one on the list is cardiac disorders; which is exactly what Sophie and Lee were reported to have died of.

Countless Adults And Children Are Dying After Flu Vaccines

Only last year I reported about the healthy seven year-old who died in her mother’s arms just days after the flu vaccine [6] and in November 2013, reports came in stating that the flu vaccine had been responsible for the death of 19 year-old sports fanatic, Chandler.

The Daily Mail printed a very emotional photo of young Chandler on his deathbed, with his life ebbing away. It was reported that whilst enduring violent episodes of vomiting and debilitating headaches,he begged doctors to save his life before eventually falling into a fatal coma.

The Daily Mail wrote:

“Despite doctors’ best efforts they could not diagnose him, despite putting him through a battery of tests.

Officially Chandler’s direct cause of death was swelling of the brain, but speaking to Fox News, Lori explained that she believes the vaccination was the reason – and that doctors should have asked sooner if her son had recently been given a shot.”[7]

She could well be right, especially since it has been reported by Kenneth Warren Smith, attorney at law, that while the rate of reporting adverse events to VAERS was higher for all age groups following 2009-H1N1 influenza vaccine than seasonal flu vaccine, this was believed to be due in part to heightened public awareness which stimulated reporting.

They stated:

“VAERS Summary:

  • After 82 million doses of 2009-H1N1 influenza vaccinations given by January 31, 2010, VAERS had received 10,085 adverse event reports following 2009 monovalent H1N1 vaccination by March 15, 2010.
  • The vast majority (93%) of adverse events reported to VAERS after receiving the 2009 monovalent H1N1 influenza vaccine were classified as non-serious (e.g., soreness at the vaccine injection site).
  • Of the 10,085 adverse event reports, 726 (7.2%) were classified as “serious” health events (defined as life threatening or resulting in death, major disability, abnormal conditions at birth, hospitalization, or extension of an existing hospitalization).
  • Sufficient information was available in the VAERS reports and medical records to classify 559 of 570 non-fatal serious reports after 2009-H1N1 vaccination received by January 31, 2010. The most frequent type of non-fatal serious reports following inactivated and live, attenuated 2009-H1N1 influenza vaccines were neurologic (34%) and respiratory conditions (31%), respectively.
  • Among the 726 reports of serious health events, there were 48 reports of death.  Review of these deaths revealed no pattern that would suggest a causal association between the vaccine and deaths; there were no deaths due to anaphylaxis.
  • The most common reported cause of death was cardiovascular conditions (22 reports). Among individuals with this reported cause of death, 94% had underlying medical conditions and risk factors for cardiovascular disease.
  • During the study period for this publication, VAERS had received 176 possible GBS reports – 99 (56%) reports were verified. Of the verified GBS reports, 93 had symptom onset within 42 days of 2009-H1N1 vaccination. VAERS had received 278 reports of possible anaphylaxis after 2009- H1N1 influenza vaccination and verified 117.  Death, GBS and anaphylaxis reports to VAERS after 2009-H1N1 vaccine were rare (each < 2 per million doses administered).

(VAERS, jointly administered by CDC’s Immunization Safety Office and FDA, is a national reporting surveillance system that accepts adverse event reports following receipt of any U.S.-licensed vaccine.)” [8]

Although this evidence was reported in 2009 after the H1N1 vaccine, most current flu vaccines now include the H1N1 component.

Given the evidence supplied and the fact that both Lee and Sophie died during the flu season, it is extremely likely that Sophie and Lee did receive the flu vaccines and these vaccines were ultimately responsible for their death. Sadly, this is something that we will never know for sure.

Either way, it is a fact that flu vaccines can and do cause death in children and young adults alike, and the public are not being warned of the possible dangers.

As flu vaccines are being sold at pharmacies worldwide, the question is whether or not pharmacy staff has sufficient qualifications to vaccinate the public without having their full medical histories before vaccination.
