What Your Weight Says About Your Brain ( a page from my latest book)

If a million obese individuals were to read my latest book. Would every one of those people go out and achieve the weight loss success? The answer is unfortunately no. Why not? Why doesn't everybody achieve the success they want? Well here's how I've come to understand it. People are often terrible at following advice. Because a lot of people don't have a big enough reason to take action.
Many go out an receive some temporary changes and then stop. Many wont even begin. And then of course some people achieve outstanding success and go onto pursue even greater things. Does this reflect on the information provided Or does it reflect on the person who is using that information? Same advice, yet three types of results. What's going on here?

Well I can tell you. People that really go out and achieve huge success in their weight goals are those who consciously make decisions to do so. They put all their past limitations behind and constructively build a mental monument of sheer determination. And they put the specialized knowledge into practice. 

First off. Your success is going to reflect upon the type of person you are. I've met a lot of ignorant individuals with weight problems who refuse to take advice other than their own. Or they think they have the right information from someone they confide in. Unfortunately people with such a limited stream of thinking not only fail in weight loss. But most things at life in general. They always blame circumstances and other people for their lack of success. Yet the real failure is the lack of knowledge they possess. And unfortunately sometimes it's not even there fault. 

Each of us have grown up with different experiences that reflects our character and our learning abilities. Our life circumstances have allowed us to develop certain beliefs about the world and about ourselves. If you are someone of a strong religious background. How difficult would it be to convert you to atheism? It would be a life changing process. Because not only would I be making an attempt to change your beliefs. But I'd be making an attempt to change everything you stand for. Some people who are fat have already decided this is what they stand for in their world. They've already decided that this who they are. That nothing works. And no information or nobody is going to change that. 

Why do most weight loss books fail at helping people? Because a book cannot determine ones background in life. It cannot determine ones beliefs, current attitude or genetics etc.. We are all different. 

 I don't know who you are or what your experiences of life are. And how you take in information. Those who think they know better will discard the information. There are also those in conflict with other information because they have read so much on the subject, that they are now confused on what advice to take. (I was one of them) Just realize that in order to move ahead in life, we must constantly challenge ourselves and step out of our comfort zones. If you aren't receiving the success you would love. Then it would be wise to question what current information do you believe in and is it working? There is a famous quote that says ''The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result'' No truer words were spoken. (Thank you Einstein) And if what you currently know or do is not helping you now and it has not helped you in the past. Would now be a perfect opportunity to let go and open yourself up to new information?

 I can tell you in my own life. All that I provide throughout these pages have worked incredibly for me. And unsurprisingly it works for thousands of others. But like I said. Not everyone achieves success. And that is solely down to the person. Not always the information. So decide what level you wish to play at. You can play the role of a victim of circumstance. You can chose the attitude of self limiting defeat. You can chose to blame everything from your background to your genetics. You can decide to be ignorant to the information or you can be open, wise and mature enough to try it. Remember that either way. Your excuses not to take action are nothing more than 'just excuses' They have no use to you nor will they get you any closer to your goals.

When I decided to lose weight. It took the right attitude. That attitude thankfully led me to where I am today. So. What is your attitude?
