Oh how I love fermented veg, let me count the ways! I've said before, I'm a girl who likes processes, especially when it comes to food. My kitchen's full of food that require processes - Kombucha, Giant Sprouts, Home Cultured Yoghurt, Curds & Whey, grain soaking, slow cooking (very slow!). Oh and grated foods, love those! Like the ancient folk who wouldn't have been without fermented foods, I love a bit of Alchemy, especially where healing food is concerned!

Quite often, I get asked for advice from people who want to get healthy, but just don't know where to start. I usually tend to find this quite hard to answer, as what do I really know? Sure, I know to advise to try and eat better, cut down on unhealthy foods, take certain supplements but do I really have the knowledge and expertise to get someones entire body and life, going from feeling pretty crappy to completely amazing? Truthfully? No! But now, I can give them some amazing help! I can point them straight to Savannah Alalia - creator of the Human Food 101 Program!

Its time to write again I say to myself :) As I was sent an email from my chum on cucumbers as she has an allotment and I was thinking to myself its the second time I’ ve been sent an email recently on these wonderful veggies…. or actually they really are fruits ( belonging to the Gourd family) as you probably know coz they contain seeds. Which is a subject close to my heart! That is seeds and fruits. Its a dying breed the seed.
I love sprouts…. mung bean and chickpea being me favourite, they’re fun to grow and it couldn’t be easier. But I confess, I often manage to leave them for too long, not rinse them often enough when I’m busy and it all goes pear shaped. I persist though and love them when successful.
