STURDY, STYLISH, AND MADE OF CARDBOARD: IT’S THE ECO-FRIENDLY DESK BY CARDBOARD FUTURE

Designed by Mary Dorrington Ward and Pat Doyle, the Paperweight Desk is totally made of cardboard and 100% recyclable. Believe it or not it is as strong as a wooden desk and extremely light at the same time. Its desk top is treated with water-resistant varnish, so that you can enjoy your cup of tea without panicking in case of spillage.

The assembly process was quick and simple. Forget about Ikea and that damn last screw that always comes out of nowhere when the job is done (and you pray, hoping the furniture won’t collapse). No screws, no bolts, no tools needed here! I also found the instructions very easy to follow. Once assembled, the desk measures 150cm x 75cm x72cm.

This desk is a successful blend of creativity, sustainability and practicality: it comes with a cleverly designed cable management system, it gives you two assembly options for inset or outset legs, and it just looks awesome. What I personally love about this range of paperweight furniture, apart from it being eco-friendly,  is that you (and your kids) can draw and paint on it. That desk is so white and clean that it is asking for it! In the same product range you can find a drawer unit, a table, a shelf unit and a round table.

There are a few stockists in the UK, of which two ship abroad: Nigel’s Eco-Store and Pink Apple Designs  . I personally ordered mine from the latter, and I was very happy with their customer service.

Love
