Alban Muller’s Eco-Responsible Approach Rewarded! Gold Medal At The “Green Ingredient Awards

Thanks to its eco-responsible approach, Alban Muller International was awarded the Gold Medal at the Green Ingredient Awards during the In-cosmetics trade show in Hamburg on 2nd of April, with its scurvy grass extract, custom-developed for the Clarins Capital Lumière range.

This pioneer plant, which can grow on even the most hostile soils, was discovered at the Herboretum. The Herboretum, the garden which protects local plants, and whose philosophy is that “there are no weeds, only plants of which we don’t yet know the virtues”, highlights the importance of preserving this promising natural heritage for the future.

In addition to its exceptional anti-ageing properties, this 100% natural active scores yet more points in favour of the Group’s CSR*:

• Preservation of plant resources: rigorous plant varietal selection guaranteeing a maximum quantity of active molecules
• Control of the carbon footprint:
crops planted near the ISO 14001 production site to reduce transport
• Exclusive high-performance eco-friendly extraction technology
(the same as that used for Cosme-Phytamis®, the new generation of highly-concentrated actives)
• Optimum waste management: composting of plant waste in the surrounding fields and recycling of effluents after treatment in water gardens dedicated to biodiversity
