I am just loving using things that make life a bit simpler! When you have a new baby like I do, time is quite limited and phaffing around with things is not something that I can do anymore so I love it when I can just grab something close by that I can use for me and also on my daughter.
I love Alva products, they are really great quality and aren't too expensive and I have always enjoyed using them.
This body cream is so thick and rich, that it can't help but remind one of the thickest clotted cream and applying it over the body is quite heavenly. It is a product that you can use on many areas. Dry bits such as knees, elbows, feet and all over too. And, I have been using it as a cream to smooth on Lola's skin too. Because its so thick and rich, only a tiny bit is needed. It has some of my favorite ingredients too, cocoa butter and cupacu butter which comes from the amazon and is just brilliant on the skin. Shea butter is in it too (another of my fav's) and also a wonderful ingredient for sensitive skins such as those that suffer with eczema. When you have shea butter and cocoa butter in a cream you know you are onto a good thing and if it doesn't really help dry skin, then nothing will! It's that effective! And, according to their studies, the Cupacu butter makes the skin 240% more moisturised. Thats pretty incredible! It also acts as a slight UV filter too.
It has a very subtle scent, unless you inhale very deeply you won't notice too much but this again is great for a sensitive skin as fragrance (even natural ones) can be a tiny bit irritating.
I have been using it on my legs and find that its made a big difference to the dryness of them. I have been in the sun a bit (when its out that is!) and that has been drying my skin out a bit so this cream has been a really great product to use.
Lola's skin is oh so soft as a babies should be and the cream has not irritated her in the slightest. It's also been great for my dry heels which unfortunately are quite a pain for me to keep on top of. They just get dry so quickly that the upkeep has to be regular to stop them from getting super bad! I think its an age thing with dry heals as I can't remember having the problem when younger!
Alva's Multipurpose Family cream is really great, I love that it can be used on Lola and myself and the hubby too!
It is priced at £15.00 for a tub of 120grams
Also, if you are into natural deodorants, Alva has one of the most impressive ranges and stocks many different types. I have tried quite a few and they are just fabulous!
